How to use the Bionic Bar on Royal Caribbean

The Bionic Bar on Royal Caribbean ships is where mixology meets technology. If you’re wondering how it actually works, keep reading to find out how to use the Bionic Bar on Royal Caribbean ships.

What is a Bionic Bar?

The Bionic Bar on Royal Caribbean ships use robotics technology to create and serve drinks.

There are two robotic arms that can make up to 1000 drinks per day at the touch of a button.

The Bionic Bar was created by Italian design company, Makr Shakr, which has also supplied venues in Las Vegas, Prague and Amsterdam.

Designers worked with a ballet dancer to incorporate human-like movements in the robots.

On Royal Caribbean ships, a member of the crew is on hand to guide you through the process and ensure that the robots continue to work properly.

Is the Bionic Bar on Royal Caribbean worth it?

The Bionic Bar certainly provides a bit of entertainment and is a novelty feature that is fun to try. You will usually find the Bionic Bar busiest at the start of a cruise when passengers are eager to give it a go and can draw quite a crowd.

I’d recommend using it a little later into your cruise, when it’s likely to be quieter.

It’s certainly worth doing at least once during your cruise and you can have a go at creating your very own cocktail.

Fascinating, more for entertainment. Thanks for explaining how it works, always nervous to use these things as I don’t want to look silly asking for help
