Princess Cruises has updated its ‘Cruise with Confidence’ policies in order to offer its guests more flexibility and peace of mind when making decisions regarding their cruise during the evolving global COVID-19 situation. In this post, I share an update on the Princess Cruises’ cancellation policy.
In these uncertain times, it’s difficult to know what to do if you have a cruise booked. Princess Cruises has updated its ‘Cruise with Confidence’ Policy. This is to help clarify what options are available if you have a cruise coming up.
The updated policies apply to all new and existing bookings.
Cruise Cancellations and Refunds
Full list of impacted and cancelled Princess Cruises sailings.
Guests who were due to depart on a cruise from July 1 – July 31, 2020 can cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure. Guests who were due to depart from August 1 – October 15, 2020 can cancel up to 30 days prior to departure. In both instances, guests will receive a refund of all monies which have been paid and are no longer due. They will receive a future cruise credit to the value of any cancellation fees.
Final Balance Payment
The Princess Cruises cancellation policy has revised its final payment dates for cruises departing up to October 15, 2020. The final balance payment date has been reduced from 90 days to 60 days prior to sailing for all cruises departing up to October 15, 2020.
This means that you have longer to decide if you wish to pay the final balance.
What if I’ve booked air travel with Princess Cruises?
Guests who have booked air travel through Princess Plane Sailing will have any non-refundable flight cancellation fees added to their future cruise credit. Any remaining balance will be returned to the original payment method.
