Princess Cruises’ newest culinary gem, Love by Britto, has officially opened aboard Sun Princess! This restaurant is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between artist Romero Britto and culinary master Rudi Sodamin. In this article, we share everything we know about this new restaurant.
What is Love by Britto on Sun Princess?
Love by Britto is an artistic dining experience that blends the iconic artistry of Britto with the culinary genius of Sodamin. You can expect a feast for both the eyes and the palate with a seven-course, prix fixe menu.
This 68-seater restaurant is located on deck 17 aft and features an exquisite display of the artist’s familiar and joyful designs. You can enjoy gorgeous sea views so we would recommend trying to book this restaurant to watch the sunset.
Special touches include vibrant dinnerware featuring Britto’s art, heart-folded napkins and even cutlery with heart-shaped cut outs.
How much is Love By Britto?
Love by Britto has a cover charge of $79 per person (US) and can be booked before your cruise in the Princess app.
This is an experimental dining restaurant and so passengers will pay the cover charge even with Princess Plus and Princess Premier.
Menu on Sun Princess
The seven-course dining experience begins with intoxicating aphrodisiacs like Oysters with Lemongrass Kafir, Mirin and Gold Flakes.
Entrees feature creative heart-shaped presentations. You can expect:
- Tuna and Avocado, Pomegranate, Togarashi
- Cappuccino of Wild Mushroom soup
- Salad of Beets, Figs and Goat Cheese
- Granita of Pink Champagne and Rose Petals
- Tail of Lobster Thermidor
- Beef Tenderloin and Truffle Jus.
In true Love Boat style, dessert features a heart-shaped Chocolate Lava Cake, Fresh Berries and Raspberry Cream, plus Petits Fours.
Speciality cocktails and an extensive wine list were thoughtfully crafted and selected to complement the menu and are available à la carte. Seven newly crafted, love-themed cocktails were created with offerings including:
- Strawberry Love Potion – Tequila Rose, Disaronno Amaretto, Chambord, Strawberries
- Expresso My Love – Jameson, OM Chocolate Liqueur, Disaronno Amaretto, Demerara, Chocolate Bitters, Espresso
- Britto Coupe – Grey Goose Strawberry and Lemongrass, Aperol, Cointreau, Lime, Strawberries
Reviews
This is a brand new restaurant so it’s early days and reviews are limited. So far, passengers have commented that the food is delicious and beautifully presented. Portion sizes are good.

Service has been a bit quick so you might want to ask the waiting staff to give you more time in between courses if you need it. This experience shouldn’t be rushed and with seven courses it’s good to pace yourself!
