Caribbean Princess has undergone a $8.2 million makeover in the past few years. Here is a look at some fantastic editions to the cruise ship.
1. Sweet dreams with the Luxury Princess Bed
Sleep expert, Dr. Micahel Breus, and designer, Candice Olson, have created these scientifically-engineered beds to guarantee a blissful night’s sleep whilst aboard.
These beds are being rolled out across the whole fleet over the next few years.
2. Enhanced Movies Under the Stars
Without getting too technical, a new screen has being installed to double the picture definition, optimise brightness that alters according to day or night, 160-degree Extreme Wide Angle Viewing and an improved sound system to enhance the experience of watching movie blockbusters under the stars.
3. World Fresh Marketplace
Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are available here.
The breakfast pancake station sounds inviting as well as the promise of comfort foods at dinner.
4. Get in The Mix
Head to the top deck to enjoy this vibrant new bar with a festival atmosphere called The Mix.
5. Chow down at the Salty Dog
For a quick, easy and delicious lunch, visit the new Salty Dog Grill.
There will be even more options available beyond the standard burgers and hot dogs like street tacos and loaded fries.
6. New American BBQ option
Planks BBQ serves a variety of BBQ meats, chilli, coleslaw and seasoned fries on ‘planks’ for a cover charge of $12 per person.
Here you can also enjoy buffet-style breakfasts and lunches at no extra charge.
7. Things are getting steamy
If you love the Crab Shack, then Steamers is a must. Think heaped bowls of seafood like mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, crab and lobster that will be sure to tempt your taste buds.
Prices start at $12 per person and the option of lobster tails and crab claws for an additional $10.
8. Ocean Medallion Class
This innovation in cruise technology on Caribbean Princess is sure to enhance your cruising experience. It comes as a quarter-size disc that you can wear as a wristband, pendant, clip or simply placed in your pocket.
It will open your stateroom, upload your documentation, set your cruise preferences and help you to locate members of your party.
